I Like The Bottom For Freezer Refrigerators

Anyone who owns a bottom freezer refrigerator will tell you that they wonder why on earth a manufacturer would even dream of building a top freezer unit at all. These superior kitchen appliances are efficient and convenient to use as well. There are many reasons that I praise this essential component in our cooking rooms.

First of all, heat rises. This simple fact makes the bottom freezer refrigerator a logically superior machine to the top chilling units. The very nature of heat versus cold gives way to the intelligent design of the bottom freezer refrigerator. The basic laws of heat and cold make putting the coldest part of the unit under the warmer area. It is just basic common sense.

The next benefit of this design involves our eyes. You may wonder what our eyes have to do with chilling food with good reason. What I’m driving at here is the simple fact that we use our fridge more often than our freezer. When you have a bottom freezer refrigerator your fridge area is eye level making the items you use most often right in your line of vision.

Bending over is not on my list of favorite things to do. The bottom freezer refrigerator keeps bending to a minimum because you access the frozen foods less than the ones in the fridge. I find that I can get what I need in less time with the new bottom freezer refrigerator than I could with my traditional unit.

The side-by-side design is great too, but I found that this type of fridge is not as good as the bottom freezer refrigerator. The problem with the side-by-side design is that it doesn’t give you enough space for frozen foods. This unit is wonderful if you have a large chest freezer in your basement, but it definitely does not stand alone if you have a large family to feed.

I have had a number of different refrigerators over the years. Each of them was nondescript and basic. I never realized that they were actually pretty lousy until I got a bottom freezer refrigerator. I guess you don’t realize what you are missing unless you have an opportunity to experience it for yourself. The only type of fridge that will ever enter my home will be a bottom freezer refrigerator. This kitchen appliance has completely spoiled me. There is no better design.

More Space With Overhead Garage Storage

The number of items a family accumulates over the years is amazing and sometimes overwhelming. Keeping items organized and safe is a major challenge for many of us. We purchase many containers and units to keep our objects in place, but sometimes we need a little extra help. Overhead garage storage is a great vehicle to use to maximize space on your property.

This area of a family’s property is not always utilized to it’s greatest potential. Overhead garage storage is an option that is commonly overlooked, but it can really help you prioritize your organization and keep things where they belong. Even though you have to put a little extra effort into getting items out of overhead garage storage spaces it is worth considering as an option.

Since the space is out of the way many of us avoid using it at all, but if we consider what we want to store away we can really reap the benefits of overhead garage storage space. Make a list of objects that are not accessed very often. There are some considerations to be made before putting items in overhead garage storage units so put everything you can on the list and work from there.

There is a reason that you can’t just make a list of unused or barely used items and start filling the overhead garage storage space. Many objects can not be subjected to extreme temperatures. These more delicate items may not be accessed very often but they will be damaged in harsh temperatures. These objects include some glass or crystal objects. Pictures, painting and artwork should never be put in an overhead garage storage space. Vintage clothing and wedding gowns are best kept indoors as well. These are just some of the many things that should not be included in the overhead garage storage unit.

Seasonal items are great for this type of space. You really only need them once each year so you rarely have to go into your overhead garage storage space to get them. A good idea for these items is to keep outdoor decorations and lights stored in the garage while indoor decorations stay indoors when not in use. This way you are sure not to subject delicate objects to extreme weather conditions. With a little thought you can create and organized overhead garage storage space that will help you maximize the area in your home.
