Will Your Baby Love The Room Decorations You Picked Out?

As a mother of three with a fourth on the way, I have always found baby room decoration to be one of the most pleasant and rewarding parts of parenthood. My husband and I have picked out unique and different baby room decorations for the nurseries of each of our children, and this one is going to be the best one yet. We have always bought wonderful cribs, beds, toys, and other items of baby room decor with a discerning eye for quality and fun. Now for the first time, we are going to do up the whole room in a theme. Since the next one on the way is a girl, we have decided to use fairies as our motif for the baby room decoration. Picking out all of the designs and items from murals, to wallpaper, to a crib, has been so much fun that I was almost sad to have to see the baby room almost finished. But seeing my little daughter enjoying her baby room decoration will be a joy in and of itself.

The very first items of baby room decoration to consider are the wallpaper or paint, and the floor. This sets the tone for everything else, like in any other kind of house decorating. We thought, since we were using fairy baby room decoration, we would make everything in evening blue and deep forest green. The wallpaper is printed to look like giant grasses and plants with dandelions lazily releasing their pretty white seeds on the breeze. There are flowers that we have painted on there to add to the baby room decoration and in many of the flowers are little fairies peaking out. There are fairy posters on the walls and even fairies hanging from the ceiling on strings. The crib itself is covered with fairy baby room decoration in the form of green, twisting vines with flowers peaking out above.

And of course, no baby room decoration scheme would ever be at all complete without having a mural dangling above the crib for the little one to look at and play with. The ceiling itself is a deep, soothing blue with little stars peaking out of it. We have spared no expense or detail in making our baby room decoration just absolutely perfect. I cannot wait until she is born. I’m sure she’ll love the baby room decoration we have set up for her.

Stick It To Me - Birth Control Patch

Many women are discovering the advantages of choosing the birth control patch as their method of contraception. The birth control patch is a thin square patch that is adhered to the skin, much like a band-aid. It’s left on for an entire week at which time the patch is replaced with a new one. When it is time to replace the birth control patch it’s placed in a different spot than the previous one. This is done for a period of three weeks. On the fourth week no patch is applied to the skin and the woman has her period.

Just as birth control pills contain hormones, the birth control patch does as well. The hormones are absorbed through the skin’s surface and into the blood stream. The purpose of the hormones is to regulate the reproductive system so that ovulation doesn’t occur.

Some women are a bit wary about trying the birth control patch because they are concerned that it might come off while they are bathing or swimming. The patch is actually designed to be worn full-time even during activities where the body is wet or exerted. If the patch does happen to fall off it’s really important to refer to the literature that came with it. In it will be suggestions about what to do and also it will strongly suggest that another form of birth control be practiced in the interim.

The birth control patch is not a method of treating or preventing sexually transmitted diseases. Its sole purpose is to reduce the risk of pregnancy. Therefore it’s still advisable for a couple to use a condom to prevent the spread of any illness.

Most forms of contraception that involve the use of hormones have side effects. The same is true with the birth control patch. Some of the side effects can include weight gain, spotting in between periods, headaches and nausea. Other side effects that have been attributed to the use of the birth control patch are difficulty wearing contact lenses and a small rash where the patch was applied. In any case of side effects if they become severe it’s important to check with your physician.

Although the birth control patch isn’t right for every woman it is an effective and safe form of contraception. When you do decide to talk to your doctor about birth control ask him or her what their opinion is on the birth control patch and from there you can make an informed decision about what is right for you.
