Save Money On Heating And Air Conditioning

Don’t you just love the varying seasons? I have to admit that I do. Sure, I like it when winter or summer arrive, but then I’m also anxious to see them go bye-bye. I just get tired of the constant heat or cold after a while. They tend to get old. When it comes to fall, I will say this particular season could stick around a bit longer. It’s just so beautiful and comfortable. What I find really amusing about the different seasons is heating and air conditioning. How much do you use yours? I can’t stand having to switch from one to the other almost immediately. It just seems so bizarre. One day you’re running the air conditioning, the next you’re cranking up the heat. The weather is crazy like that depending on where you reside. How is your heating and air conditioning bill treating you?

When it comes to the routine heating and air conditioning, we always fret over the monthly costs. We can’t help it. The darn thing tends to change on us at random. Have you ever received a heating bill one month and grinned at the charges, but the following month it was twice as much? This is utterly annoying. You know the temperature didn’t change much and you didn’t crank it up higher, so what the heck happened? This is how the heating and air conditioning companies screw you. Okay, so I just made that one up, but it does make you wonder at times. The truth is it’s all about your power bill. Something clearly varies from month to month. It’s just difficult to see what it is sometimes. Have you ever considered alternative options to your current heating and air conditioning methods? There may be more prudent and cost efficient ways to go about it. For example, how large is your heating and air conditioning unit? Is it an old school product or something more contemporary? Are the ducts and vents completely clear and open? Many things can be checked to ensure your home is properly heated and or cooled.

Are you looking into new options regarding heating and air conditioning systems? Well, a good place to start may be your personal computer. You can easily get online and sort through current costs of heating and air conditioning units. Do your research before you get charged.

Make Money Face Painting

Kids are notoriously flighty, and there are always new trends coming and going. There are some things that tap into childhood so effectively that they really stay there year after year. Face painting is definitely one of them. When people ask what I do for a living and I tell them that I paint faces, most of them are pretty surprised. Some of them are outright rude about it. They refuse to believe that you can make a living off face paints, but it is true.

I consider it an art more than a job. Painting faces is a fairly intricate skill. People ask for all kinds of different designs on their faces. You get the requests for butterflies, flowers, bunnies and things like that more often than anything else, but sometimes people want something more specific. You have to be able to do it all.

I first got involved in face painting when I was just a kid. I always got Halloween face paint kits. As a matter of fact, I wasn’t really interested in the costumes. My parents were always frustrated because they would get me an elaborate costume and all I would do is play with face makeup all night! Soon they saw that I really had a talent. I kept with it all through school. I even used my face painting in high school. Some of my friends were amateur movie makers and I would do face painting for them. I could do it all – monster movie stuff, glamorous makeup and of course the classic face painting stuff that I do now.

When people see a face painting booth at the county fair, they don’t really think about it, but some people make their living off this. I am one of those folks. I make money at fairs, kids birthday parties, Halloween parties and carnivals of all sorts. Sometimes people even hire me for custom face paint jobs for their own parties. I don’t make a lot of money doing it, but I do make enough. It is worth it because I get to do what I love. Few people really get to follow their passions in this life, so even though I have to get by on a shoestring budget from time to time, I consider it worth it. After all, it makes me happy. Isn’t that what life is all about?
