All Dolled Up And No Wood House To Go To

posted in Children, Decoration, Hobby, Toys |

I have bought my daughter quite a few different dollhouses and she has lost interest in every single one of them rather quickly. I guess they were not big enough or they were not special enough, I’m not really sure. I think that if she decides that she would like to have a new one, I want to get her something very special. I want to get her a very large wood dollhouse to see if that would be something she would prefer to have.

What makes the wood dollhouse different, if you buy the right one, is that they can be decorated in any way you want. That would mean my daughter and I could spend a lot of time painting the walls or even adding wallpaper to the wood dollhouse. We could make it just like she would like to have it. She could choose what she wanted each room to be. She may want sixteen bathrooms and no kitchen but that would be up to her.

A wood dollhouse would cost more and probably the furniture alone would break me, but I wouldn’t want to spend that much money unless she was really into it. Right now, she’s not but that could change in a few years. I think taking the time to decorate with her would be something special for the two of us to do together when we found the time. I think planning it would be almost as fun as actually putting it together. Even better, we could probably redo it as many times as we like as long as she still has an interest in doing so.

When thinking about a wood dollhouse and accessories, you don’t have to buy the limited number of them you can find in the store. If you know someone who loves to work with wood, ask them if they would build one for you. That would be the best way to do it, as you could choose your own materials and you could have it any size you want. You would also be able to choose how many rooms, floors and anything else that would go into it. If you don’t know someone, you can find them online in many cases, or in local craft and gift stores. You may have to search a while for the perfect one, but it would be well worth the hunt.
