Hey Weirdoes - Put On A Movie Costume For Halloween
posted in Costumes, Halloween, Movies |Trick or treat? I have always loved that question. Or is it actually a question? Regardless, it always gets me in the mood for candy, masks and havoc. Okay, so maybe I should leave off that last one, but you get the point. It’s all about that special night of ghouls creeps and goblins. The single and solitary night of the year when entities have the ability to roam the physical real and blend in with all us regular folks. How cool is that! Anyway, the greater matter at hand here doesn’t really concern the monsters and spooks as much as it does the costumes. We all know on Halloween that we have the ability to frolic about as whatever we please. And believe me when I say I’ve seen some off the wall ones. One thing I do know is that no matter how many Halloweens pass, movie costumes never seem to go out of style. There are more and more each and every year.
What are your favorite movie costumes to slip into on All Hallows Eve? I can honestly say that my all time favorite is Michael Myers. Now, I’m sure that everyone has to recognize that name. If you don’t, then I would have to wonder where you’ve been living. After all, the film was released back in ‘78. There’s just something about Michael. It’s like he has no true motive, however he only has one thing in mind. It’s just plain eerie. I have to admit that I am still amazed at the number of Crow movie costumes I still spot on Halloween night. Even though that film is over ten years old, people still love the character.
One of the best places to checkout on Halloween if you ever get down there is Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Franklin Street is closed off to traffic in order for all the weirdoes to come out and play. Okay, so maybe only a few are true weirdoes but if you check it out, you are guaranteed to witness hundreds of Halloween monsters, witches, goblins and intricate movie costumes. The last time I was down there, I even spotted a gargantuan condom. Now that’s bizarre. It literally had milk spewing out the top, if you can picture that. If you are in the market for some fun and exciting Halloween demon, monster, vampire, werewolf or movie costumes, the best place to browse is your home computer. Check out all that’s offered online. You will literally find movie costumes galore.
